Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

POST AND AUXILIARY MEETINGS

Both the Post and Auxiliary hold meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM. A light meal is served at 6 PM for attendees for a donation of $3.00.

WELCOME TO BROWN-JOHNSON POST 792

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

DEPARTMENT'S COMMANDERS CORN HOLE TOUNAMENT, September 8, 2019. Sign up is at 10:30AM and play begins at 11:30AM, $20.00 per team in support for the National Home for Children. The Post 9th annual 9-11 BBQ, Steak, Corn on the cob, salad, rolls, potato salad, ice cream will be available for $15.00 per person. Chef PSC Mike Choquette. RSVP for the BBQ by September 4, 2019 by calling the Post (229-9028) or stopping in.
 
DISTRICT 3 MEETING - September 21, 2019 at Post 798 Newport. Round Up Starts at 10AM.
 
COA MEETING - September 28, 2019 at Post 6471 Manchester, VT at 1PM lunch at 12PM.

PTSD Help

Trauma is unexpected, intense and overwhelming. It can change the course of a person’s life. At its worse trauma can lead to symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress which does not come from difficulties in childhood growth and development, biology or genetics. PTS comes from a traumatic incident.
